Besiege เกมแนว sandbox ที่ให้ผู้เล่นสร้างเครื่องจักรสงครามเพื่อทำลายและสังหารทหารของฝ่ายศัตรู โดยจะมีเป็นด่านให้เล่น และแต่ละด่านก็ต้องใช้เครื่องจักรที่ต่างกันไป

จุดเด่นของเกมนี้คือการที่ตัวเกมให้อิสระกับผู้เล่นในการออกแบบและสร้างเครื่องจักรในแบบของตัวเองได้โดยไม่มีข้อจำกัดใดๆ และนั้นทำให้ตัวเกมมีความสนุกและเอกลักษณ์อย่างมาก อีกทั้งตัวเกมยังอนุญาตให้ผู้เล่นปรับแต่งตัวเกมได้อย่างตามใจชอบ ทำให้การสร้างสิ่งของที่คุณอาจคิดว่าเป็นไปไม่ได้ ผู้เล่นหลายคนก็สามารถทำให้มันเป็นได้
