Last Train Home เป็นเกม Real time strategy สร้างจากเรื่องจริง เราจะได้รับบทเป็นผู้นำกองทัพสัญชาติเชโกสโลวาเกีย ที่ต้องพาทหารกลับบ้านหลังจากสงครามครั้งใหญ่บนรถไฟหุ้มเกราะ แต่ทางกลับบ้านนั้นแสนจะทรหด เราจึงต้องบริหารทรัพยากรอันน้อยนิด และกำลังใจของทหารในรถไฟไม่ให้ดับไป เพื่อให้ทุกคนกลับบ้านได้อย่างปลอดภัย

เราจะต้องเลือกว่าจะรบยังไงให้สูญเสียน้อยที่สุด โดยต้องวางแผนอย่างเร่งรัดเพื่อชัยชนะของเรา เราสามารถ Upgarde อุปกรณ์ของทหารเพื่อเพื่มพลังของหน่วยได้ และต้องแบ่งหน้าที่ให้ทุกคนในรถไฟและยังสามารถ Upgrade รถไฟได้ด้วย เพื่อการเดินทางกลับอย่างปลอดภัยที่สุด
